ABOUT
All the Details
In my early years as an only child, every moment of quiet became a canvas for my imagination. Fantasy was the lifeblood of my youth. Fueled by a love of movies, my imagination was endless - and my days were filled by the sci-fi Shakespearean epics I conjured throughout my home as I annoyed my grandmother, giving her little time to rest. I was always destined to be a storyteller

When I first walked through the doors of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2021, I was a budding composer with an ear for melody but eyes that turned blind at the sight of sheet music. Yet, under the astute mentorship of the renowned Piano Mill Composer, Erik Griswold, and with the guidance of Gerardo Dirie, I was pushed beyond the barriers of my own comfort and saw I was capable of much more than I anticipated.
My time at the Conservatorium was transformative, equipping me for my most daunting project yet: Exit Ghost Production's 'Greenlit' - a six episode comedic webseries - and a pivotal project where I composed 45 minutes of uninterrupted music within the span of a month, a true testament to dedication meeting opportunity. It wasn't just contract work for me - it was another canvas for evoking emotion; capturing the narrative essence through sound. Following this, my involvement in diverse projects like Maia Jorgensen's award-winning "Solitude", with its chilling ambiance, and the vintage sitcom homage "Nuclear", highlighted my versatility and ability to adapt to various cinematic moods. I was quickly finding a demand for myself as a Brisbane-based composer!
After broadening my skills at the Conservatorium - I had realized my pathway had always converged in the film world. Transitioning to Griffith Film School was a seamless and natural progression. During this time, I reunited with Exit Ghost productions on their latest webseries "Call Girls" - an adaptation of Lauren Harvey and Kelly Hodge's critically acclaimed stage show - where I captured both the mundanity and levity of call center work with a jazz and funk-infused score. Cementing a career in Brisbane as a composer, I was inducted into the Australian Guild of Screen Composer's in 2023

However, my love for storytelling doesn't stop with the score. In 2023, I wrote and produced the micro-short "Shutter" in collaboration with upcoming director Prudence Herbertson. What started as a zealously ambitious dream quickly spiraled into a shocking success as it was recognized at the Independent Horror Movie Awards 2023, winning an award for Best Atmosphere, and nominations for Best Short and Best Scare. My fortune in the screenwriting sphere compounded when I was gifted by fate the chance to work alongside industry veterans Evelyn Saunders and John Banas in bringing to life a scripted TV pitch by Jon Coghill of Powderfinger. Their mentorship has been instrumental in my craft, career and appreciation for the good-natured talents in the industry - and it paved a path for myself to script-consult for Peter Cupples' in-development musical, 'Once In A Life Time'.

Art is a powerful force. And in my years as a composer, screenwriter and multi-faceted creative, I've never felt more rewarded than when I am lucky enough to work with new, exciting creative talents. My love for storytelling is not a love for just my own story: it's a love for all stories. And I strive to breathe life into the stories of anyone who puts forth the call.
